This distinguished three-bay, two-storey residence is situated in a verdant square in Dublin 6. The detached red-brick structure exemplifies the striking Victorian architecture that emerged in the late 19th century as the city expanded beyond the Grand Canal. Designated as a protected structure, it functioned as a family home until the 1920s, after which it was repurposed as a convent for over sixty years, continuing into the twenty-first century when it was converted into multiple occupancy units. Our clients aimed to revive the original charm of the house and re-established it as a family residence. To achieve this, we constructed a two-storey extension and executed a sophisticated renovation, ensuring that the modern enhancements and interior design harmonized with the home’s historical features.
